This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Married Gift (marriedgift.com) collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to orders placed on it.

Information you give us

  • Order and account details: name, email address, billing and shipping address, and phone number if you choose to enter one at checkout.
  • Personalization text: the names, dates, initials or short lines you ask us to print on a mug.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email or through a contact form, including photos you attach.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type and pages viewed, recorded by our web server and store software.
  • Cookies: small files stored by your browser, described in the cookie section below.

Payment information

Card and wallet payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. We receive limited details such as the payment status and the card type.

How we use your information

  • To print, pack and deliver your order, including printing the personalization you provided.
  • To send order confirmations, shipping updates and replies to your questions.
  • To process payments, refunds and help prevent fraud.
  • To keep the website working, secure and easy to use.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who receives your information

  • Our production partner (partner mug print studios) that prints and packs your order. They receive your personalization text, and your name and shipping address for the parcel label.
  • Shipping carriers that deliver the parcel. They receive your name, shipping address and, where needed for delivery, contact details.
  • Stripe, our payment processor, which receives the payment details needed to complete your purchase.
  • Website hosting and email service providers that store data on our behalf to run the store.
  • Authorities, when the law requires us to disclose information.

These parties may only use your information to provide their service to us or as required by law.

Cookies

We use cookies that the store needs to function, for example to remember the items in your cart, keep you signed in and complete checkout. Our payment processor may also set cookies to detect and prevent fraud. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout may not work without them.

How long we keep information

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfill the order, handle returns and warranty requests, and meet tax and accounting obligations. Messages and personalization details are kept only as long as they are useful for those purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your personal information. We will delete it unless we must keep certain records by law, such as invoices for tax purposes.
  • Stop sending you marketing emails.

To make a request, email contact@marriedgift.com from the address used for your order. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on the request. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to order data is limited to the people and services that need it to fulfill orders. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

This store is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
