Customization Guide

Every Married Gift mug is printed with the words you choose. This guide shows how to tell us what to print so the finished mug reads exactly the way you want.

Step by step

  1. Pick a design from Mr & Mrs Mugs, Anniversary Mugs or Couple Name Mugs.
  2. Choose the options shown on the product page, such as the size or a set of two where offered, and add the mug to your cart.
  3. Write your text in the order notes at checkout: names, a surname, a wedding date or initials, depending on the design.
  4. Read your text one more time, then place the order.

Tips for names

  • Type names with the capitalization you want printed. “McKenzie” and “Mckenzie” will print differently.
  • If a design uses a shared surname, enter the surname the couple will use after the wedding.
  • Accented letters usually print well, but some decorative fonts lack certain characters. If you are unsure, email us before ordering.

Tips for dates

  • Write the date in the order notes exactly as you want it printed, for example with the month spelled out, so there is no doubt about day and month.
  • For anniversary mugs, decide whether you want the wedding date, the number of years, or both, and check which the design supports.

Gifting a pair

For matching mugs, keep the same date and surname on both so they look like a set. Some Mr & Mrs designs come as a set of two; for others, order one mug per person.

Changing your text after ordering

You can change your personalization free of charge within 24 hours of placing the order. After that, printing may have started; see our Return & Refund Policy for the options that remain.

What we cannot print

We do not print logos, brand names, characters owned by others, or text that is offensive or unlawful. Orders with such text may be cancelled and refunded.
